Financial Cleanup & Setup · Jasper, GA & beyond
Months or years behind, a shoebox of receipts, a bookkeeper who disappeared — we rebuild your books from the ground up, get your tax filings current and set you up so it never happens again.
Running a trade business is a full-time job before you ever open QuickBooks. It's common for contractors to fall months or years behind — and the longer it goes, the harder it is to start. Meanwhile the IRS penalties, missed deductions and lender questions keep piling up.
Our cleanup service starts with a clear assessment of where things stand, then works through it methodically: gather statements, rebuild and reconcile the books, correct the chart of accounts, separate personal and business spending, and file anything that's past due.
The details
A clear picture of what's missing, what's wrong and what it will take to fix.

Unfiled returns, late 1099s and payroll filings brought current.

Questions
There's no such thing. We've rebuilt books that were years behind. It just takes a bit more time to gather statements.
Cleanup is a one-time project priced by how many months need work, how many accounts you have and their transaction volume. We'll give you a quote after a free assessment.
The first step is getting the books accurate so the returns can be prepared correctly. We'll help you prioritize filings and, if there's a balance due, work through payment options with the IRS and state.
Bank and credit card statements are the foundation. Receipts help support deductions, but missing receipts don't stop us from getting your books current.

Who you'll work with
Peyton Witt, CPA, built his career at Grant Thornton and on UPS's corporate tax team, working on Fortune 500 companies with billions in revenue. When he started helping small business owners on the side, he found nearly every return he reviewed was wrong.
He started Tax Pilot to give contractors and trade businesses the same level of expertise big companies get — from someone who actually understands their world.
